What is a KD Ratio?
KDA is typically used as a measure of skill in a video game. The higher the KDA Ratio, the better the individual in most cases. There is not always a 1:1 relationship between KDA and skill because sometimes it makes sense for a player to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. In this case, win percentage is a better measure of skill.

How do you improve a KD? The first step is to analyze why you are dying so much in-game. A few reasons could be playing very aggressively or bad motor skills.
The quickest way to improve KDA is to play passively and “camp”. This does not always lead to more wins, but it does lead to a better KDA.
What is a good KD ratio?
An easy way to look at KD is to assume that a KD ratio of 1 is exactly average. That’s because for every 1 kill you have 1 death, or exactly average. Anything above a KD of 1 is above average and everything below is that is below average.
An example of a good KD is 4.0. That is you have 4 kills for every 1 death. When looking at the normal player base, this KD is usually in the 95th percentile of players. That is only 5% of players have a KD this good.
When looking at KDA, these numbers get inflated drastically because you can have a lot of assists without getting any kills.

Apex Legends average KD
KD, or kill to death ratio, has always been a big part of measuring skill in multiplayer FPS games. However, due to the recent obsession with battle royales, SBMM, and the addition of Ranked Leagues, KDs have become more inconspicuous and really depend on what type of lobbies you’re playing in.
The general consensus is that any KD just above or below 1.0 is considered an average KD on Apex Legends. This means that for every death you have, you will have at least secured one kill.
If your KD is lower than 1.0 and looks more like 0.80 or lower, this would be considered below average as you are dying more than you are killing. To increase your KD back up more towards the average, you will need to start killing more people before you are eliminated.
If your KD happens to be above 1.0 and looks more like 1.5 or higher, this would be considered above average in Apex Legends as you will be killing more than one person every game before dying.
How to check your KD
You can check your lifetime battle royale KD by pressing your username above the Legend on the lobby screen. This will take you to a page full of your player stats. In th middle will be your lifetime stats, and the right will be your current season stats.
Players can also see stats via each season or even ranked by pressing the title above the stats on the right side, giving you an option to select any season you would like to see your personal stats in.
Alternatively, you can also use websites like Apex Legends Tracker to see your KD and any other stat you might be interested in finding out, including your recent performances.

Over 100h behind me, so these are no 1 game solo kd over 9000 results. 😀

Its actually pretty easy to get a high k/d. I have like 2.5 or something. Its not too easy to win but its pretty easy to get kills. (Ive pulled 2 wins off i feel so good xd)

Good Lord you necroed the snot out of this. During the time of this thread, there were tons of bad players making it really easy to get a 2.0 kd even. Because of how many who play and the average skill of players now. I would agree with a neutral kd being decent.

maybe, but I checked most of those claming great KD in here, all the way back to late 2017, and none have a KD even close to what they claim. I’m just pointing out the bs, there’s ways to check.
Some claiming over 2.5, and saying 2.5 and 3 is low, while they barely have 1 KD if that.
Use the pubg op site. They can go back to the pre alpha. Still the point is, even disregarding everyone else here, is that a lot of players sucked in pre alpha till season three. You could get a 1.5 or 2.0 kd if you had even some good experience in shooters. Too many players bought this game from china and those who had never even tried a shooter before. I played duo and squad all the time (us and sometimes eu) just to find other players like myself but 70% of the time they turned out to be players who die with the first engagement unless i did something. It wasn’t very hard to get top 1% in any mode you played a lot either because of the incedibly large amount of players skewing the stats. That’s why you could easily get a 2.0 kd (unless you playes mostly to win).
The player count has gone down. My theory is that more of the players who were good or got good stayed and those who never could left. My matches are much harder compared to the first seasons. Back then i met players till the top 10 who couldnt hit a damn shot. Now i rarely see a player who cant aim in the top 30. I’m happy the average player is better as wins feel more worth it now.
Anyway so in conclusion. Most pubg players sucked back then, less so now. A «decent» kd was higher back then because of how bad the average player was.
You know, this is a really funny question. Do you think that a >1.00 K/D ratio is average?
Think about it like this: can you get a kill without somebody dying? Everytime a player gets a kill, another one gets a death. This hard-caps the average K/D to 1.00. Then, when you consider deaths that weren’t the result of another player’s kill (suicides or shield deaths, which are extremely common), this lowers the average K/D further.
So I’d say that the average player’s K/D is somewhere around 0.9, if not lower (there really are a high number of deaths to the shield moving).
The average player gets a 1.0 kd. Thats how KD works. Every time someone kills someone, someone dies.
The math in this thread is all messed up. A quick counter example for all of you: If we play three 1v1 games and I win twice and you once, my K/D ratio is 2/1 = 2 and yours is 1/2 = 0.5, the average of which is 1.25 and NOT 1.0. The fact that, excluding suicides and the likes, the total number of kills equals the total number of deaths doesn’t tell you anything about the average of the individual players’ K/D ratios, which is what this thread is about. More exactly: It’s not hard to find extreme examples where the K/D ratio can be arbitrarily high (a million 1v1s where I win all but one) but it’s also easy to show that the K/D ratio cannot be smaller than 1-1/(number of players), which is nearly 1.
My personal k/d ratio is around 0.6 because I suck at this game.

Thanks to Reddit user theguywithacamera, we can see a detailed breakdown of exactly how your K/D stacks up against the rest of the Warzone player base. The OP looked at roughly 100,000,000 Warzone accounts and figured out how each K/D ratio compares.
What is the average Warzone K/D?
According to theguywithacamera’s stats, the average Warzone K/D is 0.92. This means that the average Warzone player dies slightly more than they get kills. This is understandable, especially with the luck-based nature of battle royale games.
Players will find that the average Warzone K/D is around 1.00, meaning that a player with this stat gets one kill per death, which is not horrible for a battle royale game like Warzone, where you can get eliminated in the blink of an eye.
Deaths caused by eliminating yourself or a teammate crashing a helicopter count towards your K/D, even though the death was not caused by losing to an enemy player. Also, dropping into a game and having a quick death, then losing your Gulag counts as two deaths. And it’s fair to say this happens to everyone, even the best players.
What is a below-average Warzone K/D?
A Warzone K/D significantly lower than 1.00, such as 0.75, is considered to be below average. If your K/D is below 0.4, then you’re in the bottom 20% of players.
Don’t be discouraged by having a below-average K/D though, nobody starts out capable of getting consistently high-kill games.
Make sure you’re running the best weapons and Perks, practice, and you’ll improve in no time. But at the end of the day, Warzone is a game, so you should prioritize having fun.
What is an above-average Warzone K/D?
A K/D well above a 1.00 such as 1.5 to 2.0 puts you in the top 10% of players. If you’re higher than 2.08, you’re well above average and are in the top 1%.
Some exceptional players will have K/Ds between 3.57 and 5, which puts them in the top 0.1%. These are often professional players or talented content creators, so don’t be disheartened if your K/D doesn’t compare.
The Reddit user also lightheartedly clarified that a player with a 6.0 K/D or above is “probably hacking.”

FaZe Swagg reveals “2 SHOT” AN-94 Warzone loadout
Here’s Warzone content creator FaZe Swagg’s AN-94 loadout that had his viewers questioning whether the weapon was buffed or not.
FaZe Swagg tried out a new Warzone Season 6 AN-94 loadout, claiming the weapon has “2 SHOT” potential and had his viewers thinking the weapon was buffed.
Warzone players are officially entering their final hours of Verdansk, with the latest Secrets of the Pacific event teasing the new Caldera map.
The recent Vanguard and Warzone Season 1 patch notes revealed a variety of changes. One of which affects the way in which loadouts will work. With that being said, you may want to drop into Verdansk and use this FaZe Swagg AN-94 loadout before it’s too late.
The AN-94 has struggled to reach the top of the Warzone meta, but FaZe Swagg decided to give it a shot. The weapon worked so well that he claims viewers in his stream were even asking whether the weapon had been buffed.
For those looking to give this “2 SHOT” Warzone AN-94 loadout a try, here are the attachments Faze Swagg was using for it.
FaZe Swagg Warzone AN-94 loadout
First off, FaZe Swagg has gone with the Monolithic Suppressor. This greatly increases the weapon’s damage range and bullet velocity, while also keeping you off the minimap with suppressed fire.
Next, we have the AN-94 Factory X-438mm barrel. Despite decreasing mobility slightly, this attachment will increase the weapon’s damage range, bullet velocity, and also help with some recoil control.
Arguably one of the most important attachments for this weapon is the 60 Round Casket Mags. This is vital for when you need to take down multiple players at a time, as it will allow you to sustain fire for a long time.
Lastly, both the Commando Foregrip and VLK 3.0x Optic help massively when it comes to staying on target. Both of these attachments will help towards overall recoil control and accuracy.
FaZe Swagg ran this class with the OTs 9 SMG. This gives the loadout a nice balance, as the AN-94 is a great medium to long-range option, while the OTs can finish people very quickly in close combat.

All Warzone Pacific game modes: Vanguard Royale, Resurgence, Rebirth, more
Here are all of the new game modes coming with Warzone Pacific’s new Caldera map, including Vanguard Royale and more.
Call of Duty: Vanguard will bring the Caldera Pacific map to Warzone when they integrate in December, so here are all of the new game modes coming with the new battle royale experience.
Warzone’s Pacific map has officially been revealed. Caldera, said to be “built on learnings from the community,” will arrive on with Season 1 on December 8 for Vanguard owners and December 9 for everyone else.
Along with all of the new weapons and operators, Warzone Pacific has kept some fan-favorite modes and brought some exciting new ones.
Here’s every new mode coming with Warzone Pacific’s Caldera map.
Warzone Caldera Battle Royale
Vanguard’s integration brings Modern Warfare and Cold War weapons and vehicles to the Pacific, and they can all be found in the Caldera Battle Royale playlist.
This is Warzone’s standard mode, where over 150 weapons from across all three games will be available for use. It also brings all of the familiar vehicles such as ATVs, SUVs, Berthas, and Helicopters. So all the skins you’ve purchased and earned in the Battle Passes won’t go to waste.
Warzone Caldera Plunder
Regular Plunder also returns with Vanguard Season 1, but specifically on the new Caldera map.
Warzone fans love this mode for leveling up weapons and warming up for Battle Royale, and weren’t very happy when it was removed from playlists in Season 6.
But Plunder will still be there after the integration, including Warzone’s huge arsenal of weapons and vehicles.
Warzone Vanguard Royale
Taking place on Caldera, Vanguard Royale turns Warzone into an authentic WW2 experience, including only Vanguard’s weapons and dogfighting.
Vanguard’s integration brings around 40 WW2 weapons to Warzone, and devs have included the Vanguard Royale playlist to allow players to try them all out in their own mode.
It also includes Dogfighting, where players can jump in fighter planes to battle it out in the skies. The devs said that to think of it like a “Precision Airstrike where you are in the cockpit, ready to rain down fire on a squad or defend yours from an enemy pilot.” Players on the ground can also jump in AA guns to defend themselves.
Warzone Vanguard Plunder
Similar to the Vanguard Royale mode, Vanguard Plunder gives the fan-favorite mode a WW2 twist.
The mode will likely be very similar, but you’ll only be able to use Vanguard weapons and vehicles. If you’re a Warzone-only player, this will be the best mode to level up all of the new guns.
Vanguard Plunder will arrive later in Season 1.
Warzone Vanguard Resurgence
Within the first week of Warzone Pacific’s launch, fans will have access to Vanguard Resurgence.
The Resurgence tag corresponds to a game mode with unique respawn mechanics. The respawn mechanic requires at least one player on a squad to stay alive for a specific period of time in order to bring back eliminated team members.
The high respawn rate makes for a fast-paced action-packed Battle Royale experience. Trying to stay alive to bring back your teammates produces some tense moments. Players love the chaos that comes with Resurgence and they’ll get to experience a Caldera version during launch week.
Although we don’t yet know which section of the map will be accessible in Resurgence, the Pacific version is likely to focus on a small portion of Caldera.
Warzone Rebirth Island
Rebirth Island is here to stay! Many prefer Rebirth’s smaller, faster-paced battle royale map, and players were concerned that it would also disappear alongside Verdansk.
Rebirth will still be around, but players will bid goodbye to the map for a short period of time. During Warzone Pacific’s early access period on December 8, players will still be able to access Rebirth. However, the following day, Rebirth will disappear for an unspecific period. This coincides with Warzone Pacific’s full launch on December 9.
We currently don’t know the exact date Rebirth is set to return, but the devs have promised that it will be making a comeback later in Season 1.
And those are all of the new Warzone modes confirmed for Season 1! Expect Sledgehammer and Raven Software to continue to keep cooking up new experiences as the year goes on.

Warzone Pacific dev responds to concerns over Caldera loadout drop changes
One of the Warzone Pacific developers has responded to player complaints about the loadout drop changes in Caldera.
Warzone Pacific’s new Caldera map brought some major changes to player loadout drops which have proved controversial, and now one of the developers has explained how the new system will work.
There is a ton of anticipation for Vanguard Season 1 and Warzone Pacific. The developers have made some major changes to player loadout drops ahead of the new Caldera map’s launch.
Stopping Power Rounds have been completely removed from the game as a Field Upgrade and the Dead Silence Field Upgrade is receiving a considerable nerf. Players are also unable to call in a loadout drop right away.
Now, one of the Warzone Pacific devs has explained these changes.
One of the changes is that Warzone players won’t be able to call in a loadout drop from a Buy Station prior to the loadout drop event falling across the map. This led to criticism from many players including FaZe star Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson.
Swagg described the loadout changes as “wack” before elaborating that there’s no point in leveling up guns if you can barely use them. “If it’s like the flashback event then the loadout event didn’t happen until the 3rd circle,” he stated.
This led to a response from Warzone creative designer, Ted Timmins, who is one of the developers behind the Pacific. He explained that players will be able to access loadouts at the end of the first circle.
“Operation: Flashback was just the test bed for the functionality that proved successful – but to your point, it needed to still be early enough in the gameplay loop to allow for improved strategy and planning,” Timmins explained.

The reasoning behind this decision was to encourage players to plan their strategies better during the early stages of a match. Despite this, many players in the replies were still disappointed in these new limitations.
“This was the worst part of operation flashback,” replied one user. “I hope this change gets reverted back quickly once people realize it’s not an innovation, it’s a limitation.”
We don’t know yet if the developers will revert these changes in response to player complaints. At the time of writing, it seems that the loadout drop limitations in Caldera are here to stay.
